A slow growing evergreen Cycad (2m) native to southern Japan. Indoors they prefer brighter light, perhaps with exposure to early morning or late afternoon sun. Humus rich, free-draining soil, a slow release fertiliser and water them when dry to the touch. Outside, they are good in landscaped gardens among sub-tropical plantings. Protect from frosts and extremes of weather. Soil, watering and fertilizing regime are similar to when indoors. Look great in a container on the patio
