Philodendron Xanadu

Native to Brazil, a real beauty with its lush, tropical leaves and compact form, ideal indoors or outside in warmer parts of New Zealand, sheltered from frosts and weather extremes. A moist, well-draining, orchid-type bark mix with a balanced liquid fertilizer is preferred. The leaves should be wiped down occasionally with a damp cloth and they look stunning in a bathroom or even in the hallway. Outdoors, they look great as an under-planting where they will clump and cluster around taller plantings. They can tolerate full sun to full shade as long as the soil is kept moist in the heat of Summer and a balanced liquid fertilizer is used.  Can grow to 2m tall and 4m wide.
