NOTIFY ME WHEN PLANT IS IN STOCK!

Native to southern India and also known as the Jack Tree, it has the largest fruit of any tree in the world, with some reaching an astonishing 40kgs in weight! So as well as getting a good work-out at harvesting time, your body will thank you for the amount of protein, vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants the fruit contains.

A lovely flavour combo of mangoes, pineapple, apples and bananas, with some people saying they can even detect a bubble-gum taste! Ideal in a variety of dishes, mains/curries and desserts, no wonder it is rapidly gaining in popularity in New Zealand.

More suited to the northern parts of the North Island (temperature range 5-30C) it is fairly robust but does not like frosts. We are offering the Golden Nugget (Artocarpus heterophyllus) species, which can be grown indoors in cooler areas to grow harden up before planting outside.

Offered to you in 14cm pots, one-year-old and 30-50cm high.
