Philodendron hederaceum (Heart Leaf)
Philodendron hederaceum (Heart Leaf)
A flowering plant native to central America and the Caribbean. Indoors, they prefer bright indirect sunlight; if not enough light, their leaves will be smaller, vines become ‘leggy’ and their attractive colour/variegation will reduce. Since they are from a rainforest background, they prefer warm, humid conditions. The soil should be moist but not ‘wet’ and the leaves can be misted or stones/water in a saucer to aid humidity. Can be pruned (pinch the tips of the vines) and fed with a liquid fertiliser.
A great air purifier, like all tropical plants, they will go through a dormant stage in Winter.
Black nursery pot, cover pot not included.
