Rhaphidophora decursiva

A beauty in the family Araceae is native to China and India. With its big glossy green leaves, it will definitely add a stately look in your home. A rarer variety, decursiva likes a pole to climb up and will relish placement near or on a north-facing window to receive bright, but indirect light. Remember to wipe its big leaves reasonably regularly as dust-clogging will prevent its ability to photosynthesize adequately.

It prefers a rich, light, airy soil that retains moisture, so a houseplant potting soil containing perlite and orchid bark is ideal. A temperature range of 15-28C with reasonably high humidity are ideal. A stint in the bathroom or laundry to assist this won’t go astray. You won’t regret adding one of these to your collection!
