Sabra Jaboticaba tree

Produces a purplish-black fruit, similar to the red grape but larger and sweeter. Relatively slow to grow (3-5m eventually) you may have to wait a while for the fruit which actually grows on the trunk, not the branches. Supposedly containing more anti-oxidants than blueberries, useful for jams. Jellies, juices or even wine! Can be grown in a container to help harden up; prefers organic matter in a well-draining soil, with seaweed or blood and bone added. Filtered light, with a temperature range of 15-25C in a sheltered spot.
